Impact!Africa Roundtable: Intra-African Trade Fair at Durban 2021

ABOUT:

Following the success of our first Roundtable on August 30th hosted at the Vatican’s Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development media room, the Impact!Africa Consortium is pleased to convene the second 2021 High-Level Roundtable hosted again in partnership with United for Regeneration at the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF).

The Impact!Africa Roundtable was held live in-person and virtually in Durban, November 16th, 2021.

The Roundtable explored how we can rethink the role of social innovations and systems change in scaling up access to inclusive financial services for Africa’s youth and women – the missing middle.

About the Intra-African Trade Fair:
  • The Intra-African Trade Fair is a platform for businesses and its partners to access an integrated African market of over 1.2 billion people
  • Represents a combined GDP of over US$2.5 trillion created under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) that aims to boost intra-African trade and economic growth by removing barriers restricting the free movement of goods across borders.
  • AfCFTA and IATF initiatives encourage and facilitate partnerships and collaboration between key players in the private, business and government sectors. IATF has dedicated a pavilion to Africa’s Youth Start-Ups.
